What a great success our club day was!  We loved seeing so many of our members, sponsors, players, families and loyal supporters there to enjoy the day with us.

The day kicked off with our junior team photos before they played and got muddy, followed by their games at 10am.  It was awesome to see some of our senior players there to support our younger teams and join us for the after match sausage sizzle.  We then had our netball team photos followed by a game between Kereone Krew and Legacy Stars.  An even and exciting game to watch.  The seniors then had their team photo  before heading off to warm up for their game against Kihikihi.  

The clubrooms smelt delicious as the pig on the spit cooked away out the back.  A big thank you to Rodney Stewart who was there bright and early to get it started and cooked it to perfection. Absolutely delicious!  

The seniors game kicked off at 2.45pm and unfortunately due to kihikihi not having enough players the game began with 12 a side.  This let the Kereone boys stretch their legs and the tries started to add up.  The ladies in the kitchen had just started serving the pork buns to our supporters when the game was called early in the second half as the score had reached 109-10.  

The clubrooms quickly filled up and the atmosphere was buzzing.  Everyone was treated to a delicious pork meal and some great company.  As the night went on the old stories started coming out and the laughs continued.  It is a great feeling to be a part of such a supportive, friendly and welcoming club community.
